Jean M. Sullivan, Managing Principal

Jean Sullivan is Managing Principal of Dover Financial Research founded in 2002.  Dover Financial Research focuses on providing customized research and consulting to financial services clients including mutual fund companies, asset management firms, brokerage firms, insurance companies, banks, and service providers.  Dover’s engagements cover all aspects of consulting from the development of tactical business plans to the creation of market strategies.

Jean is also responsible for Dover Financial Research publications which include a series of quarterly research reports, produced for the Money Management Institute, focusing on emerging trends in the SMA industry. In addition, the firm produces in-depth research publications such as the recently released research report on “The State of SMA Distribution Through Bank Trust Divisions.” Currently, the firm is involved in conducting proprietary research on the industry's evolution toward the development of Unified Managed Account platforms.

Prior to founding her own practice, Jean was a Managing Director at Cerulli Associates where she was responsible for managing the firm’s domestic consulting business. While at Cerulli, Jean co-authored research which focused on the intermediary distribution of investment products, including “The State of the Bank Brokerage Industry” and “The State of the Variable Annuity Marketplace.” 

Prior to joining Cerulli Associates, Jean was a Vice President at Fidelity Investments where she worked in the Retail Marketing and Institutional Services divisions.  At Fidelity, she was responsible for new business development, financial management, and strategic planning.  Jean also focused on developing strategies for bank brokerage and bank trust distribution channels.  

Jean is a graduate of Colby College where she holds a B.A. in English.  She also holds an MBA in Finance from Babson College.
